Default Shared CIFS on NetApp

Maybe this is rather a Windows question. In one NetApp box, is it
possible to have multiple volumes joining diffirent Windows domains
for authentication while keeping security between domains? We want
to share a NAS among completly different orginazations.

Thanks,

It is definitely a NetApp question and the answer is yes, with a
caveat.

You can use the vfiler option to segment a single filer into virtual
filers where each one can join a different domain. Many ASP's do this
already and the 2 that I have talked to like it. It is a seperate
license and costs money though.

Also be aware that you can't share anything between domains, it segments the
filer into *completely* separate virtual systems.

these things will be lost in time, like chalk-paintings in the rain. `-_-'
