I too wonder how long the helium is going to last in the drive. And the
comment about the data center monkeys talking to each other in high
pitched voices is funny.

Do they ever go bad. None of mine ever died.
The worst troubles I had we

Broken linux PIO drivers giving loads of messages on a really old HD(90's era) attached out of curiosity.
Flaky SATA connection.

Am I doing something wrong?
(I'm not a datacenter person,tho')

What's the biggest capacity you can get without Helium or shingles?
6 TB? 8 TB?
