Default 9600 pro price?

Best Buy has a 9600 pro card selling for 199.00, on sale at 189.00, also a
20.00 mail in rebate, making the final price 169.00. Is this a good price
for this card?

I don't know whether you're talking dollars or pounds, but www.ebuyer.com is
currently selling a Tyan 9600 Pro 128Mb 8x for £99 + VAT ( even with vat
that's less that £120. The user reviews on the site give it 5 of 5 so it
can't be bad.Ebuyer has UK and US sites so it's worth checking out!

That is a good price, because that is a "Built by ATI" card running at the
proper core and memory speeds. Look around this newsgroup for some of the
Q&A about the core and memory speeds of some 2nd party manufacterers. There
appear to be some ripoffs out there IMHO.
