how to turn off numbers IBM SpaceSaver keyboard

Does anyone know how you turn off the numbers from
the dual purpose keys so that the letters type rather than
the number??

What exact keyboard do you have?

"You can activate the numeric characters shown on the front of the
keys on the right side of the keyboard by pressing the Shift key and
the Nm Lk (Num Lock)/Sc Lk (Scroll Lock) key at the same time."

You might also have BIOS settings to enable or disable the number
keys when starting your computer.
