Brother 1850 - Is this a good printer? Also question about toner cartridge...

I'm considering purchasing a refurbished brother 1850... i'm doing so
because it has a built in duplexer and i can get it for about $250.
Is this a good unit?

Also, do the toner cartridges have those plugs which you can take out
and refill the cartridges like the brother 1440 has?

I bought a new one in May. Very pleased so far. Excellent tech support
(in UK) they actually answer the phone and talk to you!! Duplexer works
well.
