Default left mouse-button problem

Hello,

i am currently configuring an acer travelmate 800LCi for a friend of mine,
and also considering purchasing one for myself. The laptop is 1 week old
now, but it seems the left mouse-button is already getting dodgy, ie it
needs some pressing to start working, sometimes it hangs and activates a
double-click, and most of the button-area makes a rather loud click-sound
instead of the regular clicksound. Anyone experiencing the same behaviour?
This doesn't feel good..

cheers, Olaf
