How to Get Fibre Adapter to Send Start Unit Command to Drives?
How do you configure a Qlogic 2200F to send the start unit command to
attached hard drives? We are exposing a SCSI disk to the QLogic through a fibre channel bridge, and the drive is not starting up after insertion. The Windows 2000 host computer needs to boot this disk, so I need to find a way to configure the QLogic to issue the start unit command as soon as it initializes on startup of the computer. -- Will Internet: westes AT earthbroadcast.com |

I can write one for you in no time. Send me private e-mail if you're interested (watch the spam trap). Alternatively, since you are using SCSI disks, most of them have a jumper to auto-start the drive on power-up. If it's OK for all disks to power up all the time then you should use that. Rob |
