Default Acer 2026 laptop freezing

I have a problem with a new acer 2026 laptop. It continually freezes
after a random period of time (can be 5 minutes or can be 1 hour). it
gets hot and the fan cuts in and it freezes. Doesn't matter what you
are doing but especially bad when using a cd or dvd. Latest failures
give bsods and also ask to check the disk when restarting. have tried
removing ram and hdd and this may make it better temporarily. It is
normally just sitting on a desk and the underside of the dvd gets very
warm. i've reported it to acer and it needs to go back but I'm not sure
what is wrong with it and don't have any confidence that they wil fix
it! Any suggestions gratefully received...

Call Acer tech support....after sending it in for repairs several
times(because they did not fix it properly in the first place) it
might work for awhile again.
