IDE 5.25" floppy drives, do they exist?
I have some stable condition 5.25" MS-DOS and Apple II formatted floppy disks that I'd like to use. But I only have a modern Macintosh without a floppy drive controller, and I'd rather not buy an old computer. If IDE 5.25" floppy drives exist, then perhaps I can add one to a USB IDE enclosure, then use it for at least IBM-PC sourced disks. But do such drives exist? Is there another alternative for trying to connect these old drives to modern day computers that lack floppy controllers? Perhaps some FDD to IDE adapter? Or is my only option to buy an old computer and network it? Anthony K. |

Determined that there's far too much that would have to be done to get it working, and it would be very expensive. There's a potential SCSI - USB option, but that's untested. |

I still have combine floppy A and B the 5.25'' and 3.5'' I'm still using it sometime. It came with a PC which I bought in 1987 I think..(?). What about USB external floppy? I saw somewhere one .. |
