Gateway E-475M 802.11 Driver?
I'm trying to install Windows 7 64 on this machine. I installed the
drivers at this link, but still the 802.11 adapter is not recognized. http://support.gateway.com/support/d...form=10022&mod el=11320&os=11271&type=10095&st=browse I realize it is for Vista 64, but that is the closest OS I can find. If I try to install WIndows XP, I have the awesome problem of the F6 drivers and the floppy disk. If I don't have access to a PC running Windows how can I make the F6 driver diskette? Can I get the files off Intel's site and just dump them to a disk? The problem is, I'm on a Mac here and I can't run Windows exe's. |

I run Microsoft in Virtualbox, did not need a floppy to install microsoft operating system... JR the postman |

And I am assuming you need the driver so you can install XP on a SATA drive. And if you don't have a floppy drive on that machine, you can buy an USB floppy drive that will work on eBay for about 15 bucks. Btw, I never saw your original post. -- Bill Gateway M465g ('06 era) Centrino Core2 Duo 2G - 1.5GB - Windows XP SP3 |
