Yep, althought I would expect a PCI-e mobo & graphics card even if only something like an X300 these days on anything less than a cheapie machine. PCI-e isn't too much of an improvement at the moment, but then there isn't much that exploits the increased bandwidth yet, its mostly games in development at the moment so mainstream wise a year or so away. For quality case that could be anywhere from 50 to 100 quid, its a bit of a washy statement. Same with the MIS mobo, that depends alot on the chipset for the mobo. -- Gamma gamma gamma chameleon You come and glow, you come and glow. Kick out the cats before you reply |

Memory = £52.00 ATI Graphics Card = £65.00 Floppy = £18.00 160Gig Drive 8mb Cache = £60.00 Case will vary, but around £40.00 Average DVDR (Depending on Model) = £45.00 Approx I doubt if Windows will be a Pukka version? as it can cost anything up to £100.00 Total = £542.00 Best bet is to get the make and model numbers of all the parts of this system and post the details, that way we can give you a better opinion of this system.? P.S I would not get a Prescott, they run way tooooo HOT, I had one, could not get temp down below 58oC idle, that was using a Thermaltake P4 Spark 7+ Heatsink and fan. -- Snøøp¥ (Gid Auld Fife) Cut ¬THE CR@P¬ To Reply Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Total = £542.00 Yep, not bad as they are not including build costs on that. I would expect as you mention the MSI mobo to be the cheapest you can get. Really buy very cheapo or expect to pay 80 + for a mobo and get something good. -- Gamma gamma gamma chameleon You come and glow, you come and glow. Kick out the cats before you reply |

Had some trouble with MSI mainboard - ie going legs up after quite a short time. I used to be a big fan of them but now............
