Default ati tv wonder ve not working

I just purchased an ati tv wonder ve, thinking that it would be great
to watch tv on, and record vhs tapes to dvd. However, it doesn't seem
to work. I get sound (at the moment it's very faint), but no video. I
am using an 1.67 GHz AMD Athlon with 244 mb of RAM and I have a S3
Graphics ProSavage DDR. Would appreciate some help, thanks!

Default

I just tried out the record feature, and when I playback the file, I
get video. So it's working, I just can't see anything when it's in tv
mode.
