Yes...but you will need to install a PCI controller card...
they are fairly inexpensive

Yep.

The usual way is to add an IDE card to go past 4.

I see a lot of stuff like this on eBay:

SILICON ULTRA ATA 133 IDE RAID PCI CONTROLLER HOST CARD

Will that allow you to just add another HD or does it force you to use
RAID?
