Network printing with Phaser 540?
The Network card needs to be authorized. It shipped with the nic, but it
is not enabled. You need to call xerox @ 800-835-6100 and ask for the ESS (Escalated Software Support ) group. There is either a part you can get or a code they can give you to enable it. Dick Telder wrote: Hello all I bought an used Tektronix Phaser 540+, that I probably will have until the consumables in it will run out. It has a network card installed, and I've used the last day to figure out how to print using my local network, which is just a few Win2k-computers sharing Internet and files. I read an earlier post here, that proposed that one should send a file called ipconfig.ps to the printer using "copy ipconfig.ps lpt1". I found this file on the Internet, and tried sending it to the printer, but it first says "processing data", then "waiting for data" until time out occured. I took a photo of the Configuration page, and put it on the Internet at: http://www.telder.com/teknik/tektronix_config.jpg Any help is very appreciated. (And I have a a few more questions about this printer) /Dick -- www.telder.com wap.telder.com |
