Default Radeon 9700: OpenGL crashes, DirectX works

Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M1425 laptop with ATI Radeon Mobility 9700 - all
OpenGL games and (more complex) benchmarks crash the computer. In contrast
DirectX apps and games work just fine. Could this be hardware fault? I've
asked Fujitsu tech support but have no reply yet. Also, tried all possible
drivers out the Fujitsu, DNA drivers and Omega.

Any suggestions?

Peter
