Canon i850 does not do borderless 5x7

The i950 I have does borderless 5x7, yet the i850 I bought my parents does not? What printer engineering lunkhead came up with that restriction? It doesn't seem to make any sense. If anyone technical can explain this logic to me, I am all ears. I'm not technical, but I can tell you that you will get your 5x7 setting on your i850 as soon as you download the latest driver for the printer (the driver that came on the installation CD is already obsolete). Follow the instructions carefully. If I recall correctly, you will find the instructions when you expand the files into a directory on your computer. It's probably in the ReadMe file. The Easy Photo Print upgrade you installed is not the driver. Before you install the new driver you must uninstall the old. -Taliesyn Before you come back and tell me I am wrong, I downloaded version 1.2.1 of Easy Photo Print today July 2nd, 2003 and still nada in terms of 5x7 support. Looking at the Canon USA website on both printers under printer handling, sure enough the i950 can do 5x7 but the i850 cannot. Both printers do great printouts (near photograph perfect compared to CVS/Walmart/RiteAid prints if not better) I should add so I am not totally knocking the printers. Just surprised on the 5x7 support. |

I originally had the same problem. -Taliesyn Steve RKM wrote: The i950 I have does borderless 5x7, yet the i850 I bought my parents does not?
