Default Backing up Partition with Nero

Greetings
I backed up a partition [took 3 cds] However, i got this message when
trying to use NRESTORE
"An application has attempted to access the hard, which cannot be
supported. This may cause the application to function incorrectly
Please close/terminate the application"
Anyone know why this is happening
I thought this would be an easy way to back-up a partition data rather
than hunting through the data i want to save and burning a data cdr
