Default SATA RAID

Will there be a noticable speed difference with SATA RAID, and is it

worth
it?

If you have to ask(and even if you don't), then the answer is almost
certainly no:

Thanks. That's an interesting article. I will probably go for a IDE drive on
a SATA convertor, as it works out cheaper and I can use RAID if I want to.

Does anyone know of a UK stockist of the PATA - SATA convertors, or would
it be cheaper to buy a PATA IDE controller card?

Thanks,

Ben

Dabs sell them around =A312 and actually even Maplins have them, tho'
they're asking =A320. Mind you, if that's all you need then there's not
such a difference by the time you add in Dabs order handling fee of =A34.

I'm having no end of grief with a disc over 137gb (180gb Hitachi) which
Windows XP SP1 will recognise - but won't format - the last 43gb. I'm
so glad I stuck to 120gb in my own machine. After the last few days, I'd
definitely go for 2 drives that are under that bloody limit.
