AGP Confusion
Can anyone help I have been given a system and new parts to upgrade.
Supermicro 370SSA motherboard, all other new stuff fitted . The AGP slot on the motherboad is AGP pro it has a removable sticker for AGP pro cards the manual says it is compatible with AGP and 4X graphics. But does not mention voltage The SIS website states AGP 1.0 Compliant & AGP 2X (200MHz) PCI 2.1 Compliant and 3.3 volt technology. Help will the AGP card explode the motherboard !!! Floundering and in need of help Colin |

The card will theoretically work fine in your motherboard, assuming no other odd incompatibilties unique to that pair. Keep in mind that it's a poor video card, perhaps one of the worst even for non-gaming, other lower demand usage. Dave |
