Default Epson C88 - what aftermarket inks?

If permanent isn't critical, you may wan t to consider an aftermarket
dye ink, rather than the pigment Durabrite inks, which tend to be very
clog prone.

What good for ink for this? I am looking for something that doesn't

(Yeah, I do try to turn the unit on every two or three days and I do
print once a week, but I still seem to clog 'em up too often).

Thanks,

Sorry Bob, but this is an area I stay out of, because of several factors.

1) some inks work great from some manufacturers or relabelers but other
model printers use different ink formulations (or don't and should) so
unless one has experience with the exact ink cartridge for that specific
printer, it's somewhat of a shot in the dark.

2) Even then, some 3rd party inks change source over time (new
formulators)

3) I don't have your printer model, so I never have used ink for it.

You may want to ask some people here for some specifics. Jan Alter (who
frequents this group) has been using dye inks in the C printers used in
the school he works for, and he probably can direct you to a good source.

Any specific pointers to vendors that might be good for that, Art?

Thanks,

MIS www.inksupply.com is where I've had good results using their dye base
ink Epson 500 on our C84 printers that were using Durabrite ink.
Be aware that if you use these inks you would have to do a little
experimentation to see how they work with the different papers you normally
use.
