Hotmail/Outlook accounts needs to be accessed periodically once every 60 days AFAIK. After 60 days, the accounts are suspended and after one year the accounts are deleted and made available to other users. Between 60 days and one year, you can resurrect your account but your old emails are all deleted and gone forever. Effectively, you start afresh. -- *_Good Guy_* Website: http://mytaxsite.co.uk Website: http://html-css.co.uk Email: http://mytaxsite.co.uk/contact-us |

There is no 60 days to one year constraint. There is a constraint if the new account is not used in the first month after creation. -- ...winston msft mvp consumer apps |

I wondered about that, too. I don't know a single person with a hotmail/live/outlook email account. I know 2 or 3 with yahoo. And I probably know at least 50 with gmail. It's got so bad that people seem to almost equate gmail with email. I'm guessing that outlook.com is mostly comprised of Office 365 users, Win8 users who've been duped into getting a Microsoft ID, and old hotmail accounts that are no longer used. |
