Default Mice and laptops

All Gateway laptops use the EZ Pad Pointing Device. However, if a USB mouse is installed, does that turn the EZ Pad off? Or can both be used at the same time?

All my Gateway laptops work the same. You can use both at the same time.

Did you have to install drivers from a CD-ROM for the mouse to work properly, or did Windows XP already have those drivers ready for use?

I did install the USB mouse driver. As a matter of fact, I use a logitec wireless mouse for my docking station (home use) and a Memorex wireless mouse (for on the road). All three installed and can use all three.
