Monitor connection for xps410
I'm trying to hook up a BenQ FP767 to the XPS410 but the video ends
don't match. I got the feeling I need a male/female, etc.. adapter to match the pc with the video cable but I'm not sure. Does anyone know what it takes to make the video cable fit the pc? What do I call it when I shop for it? I'll try to Google this meanwhile and report any answer, if I get lucky. Thanks |

Thanks Just to add to my post, I'm looking at the FP767 manual and if it matters.... it reads the input signal is RGB analog 0.7Vpp//75 ohm positive; Synchronization is TTL separate signal connection 15 pin mini D-sub cable. |

I assume you have a standard male DB-15 to male DB-15 video cable?
The 7300 has a blue DB-15 analog VGA out, a white DVI-I digital output and a black round S-Video TV output. If your BenQ came with a standard DB-15 VGA cable it would have a male DB-15 on each end. One end goes into the blue connector on the 7300 video card and the other end into the female DB-15 connector on the FP767. It looks like the FP767 also has a connector for the built-in speakers. Rich Rich, you are correct and I solved it but I feel STUPID after I solved it. I'd rather not say (with my tail under my legs). thanks for the quick reply !! |
