ASUS P5W DH DELUXE - Memory EPP
Are most motherboards EPP compliant? Is the P5W EPP compliant?
Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP), the open standard for performance module SPD's jointly developed by Corsair and NVIDIA. EPP SPD's on Corsair modules allow users to automatically configure EPP enabled motherboards with aggressive memory performance settings, for maximum memory and system performance. You really get a bump with EPP timing. Example: (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...ctCode=85025-7) JEDEC standard 5-5-5-15 values at 800MHz EPP standard 3-4-3-9, 2.2V values at 800MHz It seems with most of the other memory (OCZ etc) you get standard 5-5-5-15 timings at the higher speeds. Anyone taking advantage of EPP for memory - is there really a noticeable difference with 3-4-3-9 compared to 5-5-5-15? Amy |
