Default hardware compression for VXA-2 tape drive

Does hardware compression work for anyone on the Exabyte
VXA-2 tape drive ? I am using the internal VXA-2 tape drive
on a Windows XP Pro PC with the Veritas Backup Exec
software (version 4.5).

Thanks,
Lynn
