Default GeForce 8400M - split to TWO MONITORS?

Sony laptop with Nvidia card and Vista Business. At my
office, it rests in a dock with both an analog and a
digital output.

I'd like to drive two LCD monitors with the same image,
but the two monitors have very different resolution. I
do not need the laptop screen functional.

Is this possible somehow?

Thanks!

All manner of converters, scalers, buffers, amplifiers are available.
All you need is sacks of money :-)

Which is why it is important to understand exactly what is required, and
what you could get away with. For example, would buying a different LCD
fix this ? A different, cheap monitor, may be cheaper than a string
of conversion devices.

Changing a resolution is scaling. This is an example of a solution.

In addition to the conversion notion, there are also PCcard ot
Expresscard video devices. Obscure and hard to find, but another
way to drive a monitor. This example does up to 1600x1200 and
plugs into the Expresscard slot.
