hard drive slowing down

My hard drive seems to be running slow. Is there a utility to check its
speed?

What do you mean by "slow"?

You can use any number of disk benchmark and obtain any
number of mor or less meaningful/meaningless results.

You can end up with the DMA turned off if you get too many errors, check in the propertys.

Is there a utility to check its speed?
