Default Monitor Problem??

Hi Group! I am running WXP Pro, the problem is that when viewing anything
on my computer the screen/monitor "shimmies or shakes" constantly. It's
annoying to the eyes. I have exchanged the monitor (2)twice, the video
card, and the power supply, and unplugged monitor from the powerstrip and
plugged into the wall. It is not near a lamp or phone. The problem still
persists!! Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance.

Thanks,

dmattmac

It could be environmental. Other than the PC, do you have any other
electronic devices near your monitor?

Do you have the transformer for the printer or speakers close to the monitor
? Try taking the computer and monitor to another room and see if it still
shakes. If not then it is something on the computer table or possiably on
the wall or even close to the wall on the other side of the wall.

I have seen that problem when a monitor was too close to an
electromagnetic source. Try moving the monitor around the room and see if
the problem goes away. If you can't move it to a new location, try placing
steel plates on either side of the monitor.

Might not hurt to try degaussing the monitor.
