I always write 'recieved unchecked' on the delivery documents
and I've yet to take this issue up with the suppliers as I've been
too busy but they will get a mail from me this week.

A web search for Dabs+unchecked showed up:-
http://www.romulus2.com/feedback/company.php?17
which included:-

**** All deliveries will be considered as received
in good condition unless you specifically
sign as 'damaged' or 'opened' etc. 'Unchecked' will not be accepted as a valid
status ****

Taken from Dabs T&Cs, the legality of which are "questionable" at
best.

Crossing out any part of the POD which refers to completeness and
condition of the delivery before signing will suffice. Signing as
"unchecked" re-inforces it.

Give your account manager a call, explain what has happened and hint very
heavily that unless this is resolved to your satisfaction you will be taking
your trade elsewhere.

Of course, you need to be willing to follow through with your threat
or even be prepared for him so say "ok, sod off then!" and close your
account. ;-)
