Scottish Islands Delivery
Hi folks
Can anyone recommend a vendor that : a) Has good, competitive prices on kit b) Doesn't charge rip-off prices for shipping off mainland I've been searching through most of the vendors commonly mentioned here, but their postage charges are pretty extortionate - eBuyer in particular charge nearly £20 in postage. For a £50 hard drive (which is what I'm after) this is a bit over the top, imho. Thanks in advance, David |

Sometimes it isn't the vendor charging the amount, but the local courier who
brings it from port to port...ie, the vendor sends to the pier and the island courier picks it up & delivers to you via the ferry...that's the expensive part. Last time I checked DABS charged delivery at a standard rate as long as you have a UK postcode, so they may be the cheapest in this case. HTH Euan. RCT "David Heggie" wrote in message ... Thanks in advance, David I have in the past sent small stuff onto Orkney - special delivery to help someone there - anyone you know in mainland do the same.. -- njc AKA (Fastpay, Paypal & nochex e-mail) |
