Default PS/2 ports quit responding

Sometimes my PS/2 ports will quit responding on my motherboard. I'll be
working away and all of a sudden, the keyboard and the mouse both quit
responding.

That's a common problem if you have the case fan plugged into the wrong
motherboard connector......

What about if you used to have a case fan that hooked up to a power supply
cable from the PSU and still had this problem? I've had this problem since
day one. I already went out and bought an extension cable so that the case
fan would reach. My computer's back up and running now. (By the way, in
case you didn't know, I'm the person that is N/A.)
