Default Compaq Presario 5000 Problem

I want to replace my Compaq monitor for my computer with a new LCD one.
Mainly because my monitor keeps flashing a pink screen and I
understand that it's because it's going bad. I checked the connections
and they're fine.

My question is, will I need a new graphics card for the new monitor? I
am running Windows XP.

No, you can use the existing graphics card with the new monitor.
