The proposed IEEE 754r standard for floating point computation states
that the standard can be implemented completely in hardware, completely in software, or as any mix of hardware and software. The new standard specifies both 128-bit and 16-bit floating point data formats and operations. Is there an open source software implementation of 128-bit and 16-bit floating point available? Thanks, Dave Feustel |
