Number of Pins in Memory Question
I am buying some 2700 DDR SDRAM memory, but they have different pins
on that type of memory. Some have 184. Other ones said SO-DDR and had 144 and PC133 had 168. It doesn't say in my manual or online how many pins the memory module should have. Any help is appreciated. Soyo SY-K7VME. |

You need DDR with 184 pins, 144 pin is for laptops, 168 pin is older SDRAM
not DDR AMDr "jm" wrote in message om... I am buying some 2700 DDR SDRAM memory, but they have different pins on that type of memory. Some have 184. Soyo SY-K7VME. 184 pins, non-ECC, unbuffered, PC2700 (DDR333), Soyo recommends Kingston brand, and I've had good luck with that brand. -Dave |

You need RAM with 184 pins for DDR. And PC133 is NOT DDR.
