Default 256 MB Upgrade on single controller HP MSA1000

Can it be installed? We have an MSA1000 with 256 MB cache and a single
controller. When we install the second 256MB DIMM, the startup test
fails.

HP people says here that you canīt upgrade a single controller MSA1000
with more cache. The only document I can find is one that says that
"cache ammount must be identical in case of 2 controllers" but it doesn
īt mean that you canīt do this single one upgrade.

I suspect we have a failde DIMM here.

Regards,

JP
