Default Kentfield quad with the D975BX?

Any word on if the coming Intel Quad processor will work with the D975BX?

This may be useful, no mention of Intel though :-(

Unlikely. The voltage regulator in the current 975 boards is designed for
the power loads of the Conroe CPU's. But the Kentfield's (quads) are going
to require a LOT more power and so will require a redesign of the voltage
regulators this Winter.

Hard to say since many 975 boards are already being designated as ready for
the quad.
