I'm planning on getting a 6700 in the next couple of months, my metric is to look at the price performance of the total system. A 6700 is about 11% faster than a 6600 and a 6700 system in the configuration that I want it, 4G DDR2 800, 2 drives, cheap graphics, no OS, is about 2K vs 1.8K so 10% more for 10% more performance is justifiable. |

* Chingy:
[XEON DC 5160] Server cpu... Nope. Real "server cpus" are the XEON MPs (Multi Processor), the XEON 5160 is DP (Dual Processor) only and not only aimed at small servers but also at desktop workstations... Benjamin |
