BIOS flashing for different mobos with same chipset
I have a cheap ECS L7VMM2 with horrible overclocking options. I would
like to flash a BIOS that gives me some real options. Is it true that I could flash any BIOS for a board that has the same chipset (Both North and South Bridge), similar features and more overclocking options, with a decent chance of it working? I am getting a BIOS savior, which gives you a backup BIOS similar to the Die-hard BIOS, so if I mess up, restoring shouldn't be a problem. Thanks. |

doubt it... ur bios handles allot of i/o which i would susspect would
change frm mobo layout (physicall layout) so even a same north / south bridge chipset would still cause problems... but thats jst my take on it |

The BIOS is programmed for each specific MB, *not* for any specific chipset. |
