UPS Question
Hi all,
I'm fairly new to working with UPS's and enterprise systems and have been given the task to find a UPS that can power 3 servers for up to 10 minutes before the generators at our datacenter can fire up. Also, I've heard of systems which can make a phone call in the event that power is lost so that staff can be dispatched to deal with the outage. Does anyone know of a UPS with these features? I'm not sure about the voltage requirements of the servers, but all three are dual processor machines with nothing special added as far as server components go so bascially a rough estimate will suffice for my first requirement. Much thanks in advance, Larry |

Much thanks in advance, Larry I think you will be cheaper and more flexible with 3 small programmable UPS units, one for each server, rather than one big and expensive unit. |
