D-Link DCS2120 email jpg problem - help!
Hi,
I have a D-Link DCS-2120 internet camera. For what it is it seems generally ok. Image quality isn't that great but you can see what things are well enough so it's fair. My problem arises when I configure the camera to send me e-mail when it detects motion. It is sending the e-mail ok, but the jpeg images I receive are all corrupted. I generally get a grey square, which seems about the right size, but only a narrow line across the top has any image detail in it, as the rest is just grey. I've played around with various parameters a bit but nothing seems to make any difference. Any ideas? Thanks, John P.S. Viewing live video through the Web interface is fine. If I take a snapshot the image saved is fine. P.P.S. The supplied Surveillance software is another matter - it makes my PC reboot as soon as I fire it up! Fortunately you only really need that to handle multiple cameras, I believe, when you want to see several cameras output at once. With a single camera the Web interface seems fine. |

D-Link DCS2120 email jpg problem - help!
Hi.
The first issue is not something I have xperienced - but perhaps the next hint can solve both your issues: Find (www.download.com) a program called Active Webcam (by PYSOFT). Install the trial and enjoy a rather user friendly program... Will work MUCH better than the supplied "IP Surveillance" which pretty much stinks :-) Good luck :-) On 20 Jan., 22:49, John Fryatt wrote: Hi, I have a D-Link DCS-2120 internet camera.
