Default creative recorder problem

I just reinstalled windows xp on my pc and downloaded and installed
the latest driver pack for soundblaster platinum 16 bit. [live drive
uni pack] It didn't install or apparently contain the creative
recorder. So i downloaded the Recorder 2 00 34 self installation file
but it won't install, saying that it could not find a previous version
of the Recorder. What to do?
Please reply to my email address as well as here. Thanks.
Larry
