Default Asus P5W DH Deluxe - Remote Control

The remote control for this motherboard is a bit of a gimmick, and I have
not used it much since I first got it. The only thing it is useful for is
turning on/off the machine, or putting it into sleep mode.

I am getting a Microsoft MCE remote control for use with Media Centre in
Vista. I was wondering whether the receivers for these two remotes are at
all compatible, so that I only have to use one?

Even better than that: can the MS remote be made to do the useful things
that the Asus remote does?

ss.
