Default replacing the ''little metal arm'' holding the LCD on TM800LCI

Yep.. That night I got a bit rough while closing the LCD lid on my
travelmate 800LCI(15").
Adivice: be gentle with it because I didnt even close it that hard (I
closed a few heinekens as well, though..)

Anyways, I took the LCD appart, and found out that the right arm holding
the screen (I m talking about the metal arm with the hinge onto wich the
LCD is bolted) is cracked. and it s about to break..

I enjoy this machine a lot, and if I could fix this I would love it even
more.

does anyone know where to find parts like these? (no part number on the
arm whatsoever, it only says on it 'ZG1S-15" R' but google returned
nothing).
I don t know if welding would be a realistic solution...

any help from tech-masters appreciated!?

thanks for your time.

some reason..
Two online retailers have them up on their website in the UK, though.

I contacted support@acer but haven t received any reply yet.
