Default QuickTweak problem

I use the NVIDIA QuickTweak program to switch between desktops. Or at least
I would if it would work adequately. The concept is fantastic and really
useful, except for, and this is why I'm posting, it seems that whenever I'm
browsing a webpage that uses any java (applets, etc) in IE6+, QuickTweak
becomes very spasmodic - it doesn't react quickly to anything and it
eventually catches up by doing all the previous commands at once.

I know its not my machine - it works fine when nview is disabled and in
terms of power I have a 1900xp+ processor with 512mb ram in win2k, so I
should be fine on that score.

Its a real shame, but this "bug" is preventing me from using what I consider
an otherwise brilliant piece of conceptual software.

Does anyone else share this experience? Has anyone managed to correct these
problems?
