ok so its actually upgrade time... but id also like the community that
ive give soo much to, to give a lille back to me (A)

ok so im plannin on that illusive upgrade...

the processor im still not sure about... input appriciated (ok i know
this is a heated topic.. but im still lookin for more input!!)

athalon VS P4... (mez thinks amd acutally) whvr dirt ull can dig up on
the two

what FSB should i be lookin at... (mez thinks 533 or in the reigon)

motherboard.... since im not such an avid gammer, n grnrlly as a thumb
rule preff mobos with onboard featues (more trble free) im lookin at
some of the ASUS (prsnt one is a ASUS which gave me gr8 performance)
so yeh the ASUS onez witht the onboard nvidia (liked their chipsets 5
point sound n good graphics engine n ****!!)

USB2 (deff no arguing there)

serail ATA (not sure... do i need it really??? whats the deal with
seria ATA??)

no fancy cabinet.. jst a one with good cooling

17"flat monitor

60gb seagate 7200RPM (+ current 20G seagate barracuda 7200RPM)

256MB 2700 ddr.... (how much of a diff performance wize... would 512
make.. intended OS's are RH linux 7.3 n win2000.. may upgrade 2000 to
xp later)


(spkrs, mouse, lan card, keyboard, writer all comming frm my old
machine!!)

thanks... but im lookin at something with onboard graphics, also still
havnt decided on the processor... any help there??
