Automatic Standby Doesn't Always
Automatic standby (after 20 min) is temperamental!
I'm using XP Home with no screensaver and no virus detected. I use the Home/Office power saving option: Monitor off: 15 min Hard disks shutdown: 15 min Standby: 20 min Sometimes standby kicks in, as scheduled and sometimes it doesn't. I have no problem with manual standby. Help? Thanks - L

Check to see what background apps may be affecting standby.
