I could allways update the CPu when i get the second card in 3 months
time when the 7800Gts come down in price.

But would leik to know how they would work together now ?

Thanks.

More money than sense?

One 7800GT is more than enough.

I would get ONE 512mb 7800 GTX instead.
It will be more compatible across more applications and in many instances
perform even better than the two 7800 GTs put together, when they actually
work well together, that is.
And hey you could eventually add another 512mb 7800 GTX later if you wanted.
And yeah, I think it would work fine with your dual core 3800.
I recommend 2 gig RAM but I'm sure 1 gig will do you fine.

seriously thought unless you have a 24" crt i doubt you have a monitor
that runs at a high enough rez and frequency too use thoughs cards at

512mb video card at Tom's site. If you check the benchmarks, the 512mb card
in single mode sometimes beat the SLI 512mb
mode. By a few frames.
http://graphics.tomshardware.com/gra...114/index.html
And if I did my math correctly, the 7800GTX 512mb card was sometimes 23%-33%
faster compared to the 7800GTX 256mb video card for 1600 rez with 4x/8x
settings.
