Anyone know what happened to The Sound Site?

Anyone have any idea what happened to the Sound Site? Can't find it
anywhere, I'm assuming it's down.

yeah if you type www.soundblaster.com/extigy then it will take you to
the extigy products page and you can go into the soundblaster site
from there. Its only the start screen thats gone down.

No, no relationship to Soundblaster at all. The Sound Site is or at
least was no doubt the largest collection of free soundfonts on the
'net. You could d/l them individually for free or could buy the entire
set on CD. I wonder if he ran into legal hassles over it. I last saw
it up and running about a month ago.

Some of us have been sharing soundont files at
alt.binaries.sounds.music.amateur. I don't know what happened to
thesoundsite.net.
