Default P4C800 deluxe, need help bad!

I bought the MoBo a while back and used it with an ATI 9600 with no problem.
Somehow, one day I turned the PC on and the screen was shrinked and to one
side. I tried everything with the BIOS and the drivers, checked the Vcard
for damage and the MoBo. Nothing, I decided to reinstall everything clean.

Now, when the system boots the screen is short and to the left then, on the
WinXP welcome screen, it adjusts and you see everything good.

As soon as I start a game, Madden NFL, it shrinks back to the same.

If WinXP is capable of using the Vcard to its fullest, Why can't the game do
the same?

Any help is better than what I have, Is it a BIOS problem? Is it a Vcard
property?

thanks

Sounds like you lost a refresh rate. Try changing to another, say 75mhz, or
72. You then will have to adjust you monitor to the new refresh rate.

Have you tried adjusting the screen dimensions and positions on the monitor
itself? Possibly, Windows can adjust it properly but Madden NFL might not
use the same Windows settings. Maybe if you adjust it properly within
Madden NFL, it will stay that way. Might be worth a try.

Sounds like a monitor failure OR an ATI9600 failure OR cable problem.
