Default CHS for Thinkpad 390i

I've lost the CHS for an IBM Thinkpad 390i, 4.1 GB.
Could anyone, please, publish the corresponding numbers?
Thanks in advance.
Alf.

unfortunately, it doesn't work (msg: 'no operating system'); also it
doesn't recognize the hd if booting from floppy, i.e. msdos 6.22 with
system files.

that's why i was trying to switch to 'user' and CHS.

Maybe the disk is defect?

Use "fdisk /status". DOS 6 will not see FAT32. Use DOS 7+.

Run "findpart tables" (www.partitionsupport.com).
It will compare the CHS in MBR and boot record, and report if different.

Thank you very much to all who replied.

it's a FAT16 partition, an msdos boot floppy should see--as long as
the MBR is intact or the harddrive doesn't exceed 2 GB.

Run "findpart tables" (www.partitionsupport.com).

thanks, i'll try.

Alf.
